Volunteering at Longwater Community Farm
Welcome to the volunteering page and thank you for visiting. By volunteering your time and skills to Longwater Farm you're taking part in something special. You'll be part of a model for farming and education that protects and enhances nature, that works seasonally, organically and sustainably, and produces fresh veg boxes to our community.
We are looking for enthusiastic team players to volunteer with us in various roles. Anything from two hours every other week, to a day or two a week. You don't need to be a professional grower, or a professional educator, what you do need is a willingness to learn, a fearless attitude towards the weather and a passion for ethical farming and sustainable living.
Whether you come to volunteer to learn new skills, get more experience, keep fit or make friends, you'll probably end up with all four and more during your time with us. Full training is provided at the start of your volunteering, with specific training periodically depending on your role, along with the opportunity to help us shape the farm going forward into the future.
Have a look at the taster volunteering Sundays that we are running throughout 2019 here on our events page and email Shona at for more information and for a basic registration form. Thank you for your interest and we will hopefully see you soon!
